New Chapter formed at Mirpurkhas

A meeting of the surgeons of Mirpurkhas was held on 12th September, 2007 at the Muhammad Medical Col­lege, Mirpurkhas to form a new chapter of the Society. The meeting was presided over by Dr. Shams Nadeem Alam, the Central Secretary, while Prof. Manzar Salim, Past President, was the Chief Guest. Several sur­geons from Karachi were also present on the occasion including Dr. Rizwan Azami and Prof. M. Najamuddin Shabbir, President and Secretary of the Karachi Chapter.

 

Dr. Shams Nadeem Alam briefly in­formed the audience about the pur­pose of the meeting and invited Prof. Manzar Salim to address the meeting. Prof. Manzar Salim gave a detailed account about the background of the Society and praised the services of Prof. Razi in opening the Muhammad Medical College and Hospital for ser­ving the poor masses and taking the initiative to form the Chapter. After this Dr. Shams Nadeem announced the names of the newly elec­ted office bearers.

 

In the end Prof. S. Razi Muhammad thanked the office bearers of the Centre and Karachi Chapter for coming to Mirpurkhas to attend the ceremony of the formation of the new chapter.
